internal SD card reader (Ricoh RL5c476 II) has write portection switch interchanged

I have installed Xubuntu Jaunty on my Asus Laptop.

The internal SD card reader works, but I have to set the the SD card write protected to have it write enabled and vice versa.

I guess it is the Ricoh RL5c476 II but I am not sure.

Yes.

Just insert SD card.
With switch on position which is normally write protection you can write on the card.
With switch on position which is normally write enabled you cannot write on the card.,
