Bug Description
Windows opened before compiz was launched, such as if I have to switch to metacity or reload compiz, will no longer minimize correctly. Instead of going to their respective area in the Windows List gnome-panel applet, they will always go to the top-left of the screen (assumed to be 0,0)
I understand this is somewhat "expected behaviour" since compiz was ran after these windows where created, however if you drag them to another workspace they will resume the correct behaviour, so this appears to be a bug and the expected behaviour is possible without restarting the process.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http:// www.ubuntu. com/testing/. Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
I am not able to reproduce this problem in karmic.
