Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

System: clean install of Ubuntu 9.04, x86_64. Desktop effects are enabled.

What happens: There are several areas within evolution where a stray mouse wheel rotation will change the current workspace. As this is a window management function that normally works when the pointer is over the desktop, one does not expect a simple mousewheel movement within an application window to switch the workspace. The areas where this happens seem to be the darker box with the current mail folder and message count, the area between the Mail/Contacts/Calendars/Tasks/Memos, the status bar (when it's empty), and the one pixel wide border around the message list.

(This also happens with other applications, but Evolution has the largest areas that exhibit this behaviour)

Expected action: none, or a scroll of the message list area or the folder list area.

Temporary workaround: disable workspace switching by mousehweel.
