was viewing firefox and the zeturf site wich use java.

How to reproduce:

here is a fresh .xsession-errors just after booting without any other apps except at the end of the file when i open firefox to answer you on launchpad.

cant attach .xsession-errors because i cant select hidden file from here (only from here), so i copy/paste it:

this warning is generated every time i start my system (karmic a6) & daemon.log show:

In fact, the path is wrong:

i only have: /usr/lib/policykit-1-gnome/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1

So, no /usr/libexec/ at all

dino99, this is an unrelated bug. However, it doesn't happen for me. Can you please attach your /etc/xdg/autostart/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1.desktop ? By default it says

  Exec=/usr/lib/policykit-1-gnome/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1

which is correct. Perhaps you once installed an upstream policykit version and kept the old config file by accident?

so, that seems correct. To clarify, this system have been created from scratch with A2 & daily upgraded then only with the official repo, no ppa or else.

dino99, I found the cause for the "libexec" stuff in daemon.log and fixed it in the gdm package (to be uploaded after beta). However, it is both harmless, and also completely unrelated to the original bug here.
