When gdm would come up, if I pressed enter nothing happened. However, I could use the arrow keys to select different users in the list, and after pressing an arrow key I could use enter to select a user.

However, with the update of gdm to 2.27.4, this bug no longer affects me.

I hate to break this to you, but it's back after the latest batch of updates (2.6.31-13-generic).

No problems yesterday, all 3 machines I have running Karmic have this bug again as of the updates.

This is a serious issue, since there is no way to log in to GDM without using a mouse. I hope this is fixed before Karmic final.

Why this bug have low importance? AFAIK there is no way to turn assistive technologies in login screen. So it should be accessible with keyboard by default.
