Bug Description

This is a kernel bug, the same issue occurred on another distro when I compiled my own kernel.

When using the iwl3945 for my Intel Wireless 3945 card, I get disconnecting frequently, and have to load and unload the driver (disabling and enable wireless in nm applet also works) before I am able to use it again. This 'disconnect' happens at random times, seems to happen a lot more often when there is a lot of network activity going on. This did NOT happen with intrepid, and seems to be a regression, as it used to work fine. Note that I am using Karmic alpha2 with the latest in updates.
I receive this in dmesg:

Hi Darren,

Care to also test the latest upstream compat- wireless stack, see http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Download . Assuming this issue exists in the upstream source we'll want to escalate this upstream as well and make sure the upstream developers are notified. Thanks.

This appears to consistently happen while streaming video from Hulu or Vimeo (YouTube, oddly, appears not to be affected). My only guess is that the increased network usage causes the problem somehow. It appears to occur across different wireless networks.

Hi Steve - yeah, I'm on Lucid with a T60 as well - it's driving me bananas, and that's not a phrase I use lightly.

:D

I'm about to try 2.6.34 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.34-lucid/

Will let ya know if things improve.
