Bug Description

hi. I've being trying to use ubuntu on a sis motherboard computer for years but even the latest flight6 pre release hungs during boot time for a problem with sis 7001 openhost controller usb. During boot time I get a lot of garbage regarding irq3 and 11 and my usb keyb and mouse don't work. with acpi= off keyb starts working but not mouse. I tried to use a ps2 mouse but still no result.
noapic nolapic don't' make any differenze.
the phoenixbios 4.0rc6.0 ver 3.03c has so few options that I tried almost everything. I don't' know what to do. I stick with a debian with kernel 2.4 and no problem at all....
