Bug Description
If you suspend to disk when on power plugged in, it takes normal time (20-30 seconds). If you do it on battery, it will take 12-15 minutes.

This has been tested and atribued to laptop-mode-tools which is enabled by default in Dapper when laptop is running on batteries. Recent acpi-support packages disable laptop-mode before performing suspend and it seems that something similar needs to be done for powersave.

see bug 35213 - it looks like that CONTROL_ HD_WRITECACHE option of laptop-mode is the root cause of the problem.
