Bug Description
Binary package hint: plasma-
I use Kubuntu 9.04, with KDE 4.3 RC2, installed from the Kubuntu backports repository.
My configuration for the Task Manager plasma widget is as follows:
- Grouping: Do Not Group
- Sorting: Manually
- Only show tasks from the current desktop
Compositing is disabled.
If I manually arrange the applications in desktop 1 in a certain order, then switch to another desktop, then back to desktop 1, the application order is reverted to the default one. Expected behavior: the order should be preserved.
Removing the Task Manager widget, and re-adding and re-setting it does not solve the problem.
Probably related: if is set an application to be visible on all desktops, when browsing through the desktops it will always appear as the first application on the taskbar.

Version: unknown (using 4.3.60 (KDE 4.3.60 (KDE 4.4 >= 20090706)), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-13-generic
With the Task Manager set to "Sorting: Manual" tasks that have been arranged manually work properly as long as I stay on the same desktop.
Once I switch to another desktop, then switch back, the taskbar entries have moved back to where they were before I arranged them manually.
I also have grouping set to "Do not group" if that makes any difference.
