Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-image
I'm finding that the heci module is preventing rebooting and shutting down via sysctl-R or sysctl-B on my platform. Maybe this isn't important, but since network manager brings the ethernet interface down before the NFSv4 homedir mount is unmounted, this is the only way to get past the hang.
Adding 'blacklist heci' to /etc/modprobe.
System is Lenovo Thinkpad T400, BIOS 2.12 2009-03-13. Kernel is 2.6.30-10-generic x86-64 on stock Ubuntu 9.04 jaunty install, with all updates.

This bug was reported against the linux-meta package when it likely should have been reported against the linux package instead. We are automatically transitioning this to the linux kernel package so that the appropriate teams are notified and made aware of this issue.
If this bug really is a bug in the linux-meta package you can move it back to linux-meta and set the Status to Confirmed, or contact us on the #ubuntu-kernel channel on the FreeNode IRC server. Thanks.
