Bug Description

I was working with openoffice 3.1 (from openoffice-pkgs PPA) and converted __thousands__ of Win2000 Office files to ODF.
During that I made the Notebook suspend to RAM and resume 4-5 times without any problems.

But an error occurred while going to suspend to RAM the last time.
-screen black. (as normal)
-the screen locks (unlock Computer window appears)
-after ~5sek. some shell messages appeared. (something like ... setting memory ... suspend .. I don't know)
-no response (keyboard)

-reboot via SysRq key.

I set this bug report to "This bug is a security vulnerability" because the Win2000 Office files are very important and I don't know if some of that data will be published with this report.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from resuming properly. The resume processing hung very near the end and will have appeared to have completed normally.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest Karmic 9.10 release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

If the issue remains, could you run the following command from a
Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal) while running Karmic. It
will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this
report.

apport-collect -p linux 399618

Thanks in advance
