Bug Description

Unable to alter the umask that KDE uses when performing file operations. KDM will not recognize any change in the settings of the default umask.

i must change at /etc/profile so the system uses the umask i need.

but i've got several inconsistent umask settings.

I mean sometimes the file created by the user got the right permissions, but sometimes not.

Are you referring to something like "konqueror is ignoring umask when creating new files"
