Bug Description
glxinfo reports no DRI support and many OpenGL extentions are missing also with ATI 9100 IGP card and radeon driver, probably others cards to.
don't really remember when this started but my guess is when mesa packages upgrade to 6.4.
the solution i found was compile newer xdemos (from cvs in my case), and now glxinfo reports:
direct rendering: Yes
and all the others OpenGL extentions are back.
The related packages are:
ii libgl1-mesa 6.4.1-0ubuntu7
ii libgl1-mesa-dri 6.4.1-0ubuntu7
ii libglu1-mesa 6.4.1-0ubuntu7
ii mesa-utils 6.3.2-0ubuntu6
here i replace the "Ubuntu" mesa-utils version 6.3.2-0ubuntu6, with my own version 6.5-cvs20060416

Gutsy has mesa-utils 6.5.2, so apparently your fix is included.
