Can't open files located on a different partition

The hard-drive is partitioned into three parts. In the first partition I have Windows installed, on the second I have my files (spreadsheets, writing, photos, etc), and on the third one Xubuntu. When I want to open a file from the second partition, the partition is not recognized, which means I can't open files from any program like OpenOffice. How can I make it so that all the partitions are recognized?

el disco duro esta particionado en tres, en la primera particion tengo instalado windows, en la segunda estan mis archivos de datos (hojas de calculo, escritos, fotografias, etc.) y en la tercer partición Xubuntu al querer abrir algun archivo de la segunda particion no reconoce ésta particion,por lo que no puedo abrir ningun archivo de datos con ningun programa de openoffice, como puedo hacer para que me reconozca todas las particiones?
