Bug Description

Using Nvidia version 177 proprietary drivers on Lenovo T61 ThinkPad with Intrepid.

From time to time, seems like after a few minutes not being used, then press a key or move mouse (just seems like that, might be a red herring!), screen goes black, and a text screen appears with stack trace information (attached as photo).

X then reboots in some weird lo-res mode and offers a menu of how to reconfigure / carry on.

Note I'm not using the 180 (most recent) Nvidia drivers, as they don't work with resume from suspend.

ubuntu-bug -p linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 says "linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 does not exist".

This bug report was filed against an old version of Ubuntu.
Can you confirm whether this is still an issue in natty?

If you don't mind, it would be very helpful if you could update the bug
report in launchpad to 'Fix Released' if it is no longer an issue for
you, or if it is still occurring under natty, please tag the bug 'natty'
so it's easier for us to track.

We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response from the original reporter. However, if the issue still exists please feel free to reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could, please test against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms the bug is one we may be able to pass upstream for help.

Sorry for the late reply -

yes, it's fixed now - has been fine since Karmic, and is still good in Lucid.

We're in good shape :)

Thanks
