Bug Description
Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird
Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.22 (20090608) Installed: 2.0.0.22+
Ubuntu 9.04 64bit
I use Thunderbird as an IMAP client for Gmail-- several times a day I will encounter improperly downloaded emails where the text of one message gets mixed up with the text and headers of another. This is not fixed by closing the email client and restarting. Also, the message lists (sent, received, folders, etc.) do not match the folders on Gmail-- some messages are missing from them, seemingly at random.
This is also affecting forwarded email, where I'll forward a message to someone and they ask what it is-- since Thunderbird has forwarded one of the garbled messages or forwarded a completely different message.
Please let me know if I can provide debug information or more detail.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner.
There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test the current Ubuntu development version (10.04). If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect 397896, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
