Bug Description

I installed firefox-3.5 (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1pre) Gecko/20090706 Shiretoko/3.5) in ubuntu 9.04 from the repository, HTML5 videos work fine but i can't hear any sound. Audio work fine with others plugins (flash player, totem...).I'm using pulseaudio 0.9.15.
A lot of HTML5 videos can be found here : http://tinyvid.tv/

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Would you please be able to try with the version in the official jaunty repositories so that we can determine if the problem is the Daily Build of Firefox 3.5 or something else?

I reinstalled firefox and all dependancies from official jaunty repository, same problem.
(Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090701 Shiretoko/3.5)

Only the video at this link seems to work: http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.5/whatsnew/
In this video i can hear the sound, but i can't see the stream in pavucontrol.

An other site that i tried is this : http://hacks.mozilla.org/2009/06/connecting-html5-video/
no sound.

I tried these sites on firefox 3.5 in windows, and there they work.

I upgraded flash plugin to the latest (10.x) manually (via copying it to /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so) and after that, sound from flash movies in firefox 3.5.2 (latest rev of firefox) started working. The 9.x was not working.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the problematic one.

You can start the profile manager with the following command:
firefox-3.5 -ProfileManager

I note that after I installed Ubuntu 9.10 the problem does not occur, at least for me.
