Bug Description

Evilvte fails to start, and gives this with "$ strace evilvte" (see file attached)

I can not reproduce your problem.
(0.4.4.1-1 in karmic)

Well it happens with another box totally different (lenovo x61t with intel card, the first was imac with nvidia)

the difference is the version is 0.4.3 in jaunty

i join the strace for the other box

I still can not reproduce your problem.
I tried evilvte_0.4.3-1_i386.deb and evilvte_0.4.4.1-1_i386.deb downloaded from Ubuntu official archive.
Both of them works fine.
