Bug Description

Hi. I'm using ubuntu-one, and i've noticed that the "go to web" option loads firefox 3.0

I'm currently using firefox 3.5 shiretoko, form mozilla's daily build, so its very annoying to have ubuntu one opening another version of the browser (wich, of course, opens in a new window instead of a new tab).

There should be a way to configure your browser of choice.

@Pablo

Does changing the default browser setting in System > Preferences > Preferred Applications (from GNOME panel)

Unfortunately I'm experiencing an entirely different bug with the UbuntuOne client not launching, therefore I'm not able to test this myself.

Perfect, changing the default browser does the job. Actually, this is the exact behaviour it should have, so i'm marking the bug as invalid.

Ubuntu One doesn't work with Firefox 3.5 Shiretoko. I can't register or connect it because Firefox 3.5 runs at .mozilla folder, not at .firefox folder as it appears in an authorization error message. I suggest fix it to allow Ubuntu One in both Firefox.

Leo, you are experiencing a different issue, probably in Firefox itself. The Ubuntu One apps don't care what browser you use. We just run "xdg-open" which in turn runs whatever browser is configured as the default in your desktop. Firefox itself hasn't used ~/.firefox as a folder in a long while. It's been using ~/.mozilla/firefox/ since at least the 2.x series I believe. Try running "xdg-open http://www.google.com" in a terminal, and I'm sure you'll see whatever error it is you're seeing. I'm not sure what error your seeing, as you haven't specified it exactly.
