kopete crashes on startup with KDE 4.3 RC1

Binary package hint: kopete

When I attempt to start Kopete on my Kubuntu Karmic amd64 system, it crashes immediately. This behavior occurs only with 4.3 RC1, it did not occur with either beta. Upon crash, the following text is dumped to the console:

Do you have kopete-facebook installed?

Yep. I read about that issue after filing this report. I am attempting to recompile kopete-facebook against KDE 4.3RC1 now to see if that helps.

Rebuilding the plugin does work (though it crashes when you attempt to exit). If you are having the problem yourself, you can try the package in my PPA.
