Bug Description
Binary package hint: synaptic
1) The results aren't sorted by name but seem to be "sorted" randomly.
2) Selection is neglected when another letter is added in the quick-search field, i.e:
Type p, select a package starting with "python..." then type y.
Expected behaviour would be that the selection stays at "python..." and that similar results beneath/above also start with "py...". I can't explain it any better, sorry.
Maybe those two are connected because of the strange sorting.
3) The results differ from the ones found by ALT + F3. Maybe this is because of the things that are indexed and those that aren't but it's not clear what can and what can't be found.
Tell me how I can help to improve synaptics behaviour
Thanks
Turbo
P.S.: I wanted to submit this to the '100 paper cuts' but as it seems it's too late for this now.
