Bug Description

Binary package hint: sugar

Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty

sugar 0.83.8-0ubuntu2

The command 'sugar-emulator' should start an X session in Xephyr and bring up Sugar. Xephyr and X start fine, but Sugar hangs after its cursor appears on a black background, without ever showing the desktop.

Is there a fix available for 9.10?

I am sorry, we have refactored our packaging to base off Debian for Ubuntu 10.4. It is rather unlikely that fixes will be backported to 9.10.

Following the instructions on the Sugar wiki and installing from the PPA worked fine.
