Bug Description
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04
AMD/ATI radeon 3460 & AMD/ATI radeon 2xxx
Using xfix in restore modus leaves the computer unable to use xorg at all.
This is what is suppose to happen: Xorg capabel of running with about no 3D acceleration, by dragging in vesa or something else.
This is what happens:
It skullbashes the config, by using generic output all over the place. Which screws over the grapics.
Which results in hal being ankward along with a "crash" of the computer that its done on when attempting to start xorg. However, this only applies to the computer, ssh and about every other way of remote controlling still works.

Hi lol-to-hell,
Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.
