Bug Description
Binary package hint: brasero
Downloaded brasero latest version for Ubuntu 9.04. I had tried using Nautilus CD burner and got the same message. In "Places" CD is shown as CD-RW. When it was a Windows machine, it wrote CDs with no problems. I got the same message as 395922 but I was trying to write a data disc. I have tried both sizes of discs, 24-R and 700 mb.
Update: 7/7/2009. Noted that etc/fstab does not contain "rw" as part of the comma delimited field. This may imply that cdrom0 is read-only. Device is defined as /dev/scd1 and has UUID field:
UUID=461f1162-
/dev/scd1 /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto,
