Bose USB audio will not play sound with any video

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Ubuntu 9.04 in use with Firefox.

$ cat /proc/asound/cards
 0 [SB ]: HDA-Intel - HDA ATI SB

 1 [Audio ]: USB-Audio - Bose USB Audio
                      Bose Corporation Bose USB Audio at usb-0000:00:12.0-1, full speed

                      HDA ATI HDMI at 0xfeaec000 irq 19

System> Preferences> Sound "Bose Corporation Bose USB Audio USB Audio (OSS)" selected for all options and does provide an audible pitch to the "Test" button. Songbird does stream internet radio without problems.

Sound volume sliders are up in the (Youtube) video application.

Please help. Thanks!

NEVER MIND: was able to fix by installing pavucontroller to route firefox video sound output through the Bose USB.
