Bug Description

Xserver started to crash randomly (and gets restarted). I couldn't find a reason for it in any log file (just messages from different programs that they lost connection to 0:0.

If I'm pointed where to look or what to do to debug the crash - I'll gladly do it next time.

My graphic card is:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 8600 GT (rev a1)

and I'm using nvidia binary drivers.

Same error (graphic card: nVidia Corporation G73 [GeForce Go 7600] rev 161), nothing in the logs. It seems to happen when I press a key.

affects: ubuntu → xorg (Ubuntu)

I think I can agree: it happened twice for me while I was typing.

I can confirm this, happens to me too.

If its from importance my graphics controller is:
VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS,
943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller.

I switched from jaunty to testing because of bug #315542. Now I
traded hangs with crashes and kind of went from rain into monsoon.

Kind regards,
Axel

I can also confirm it always happens with pressing a keystroke. (i believe it might even be one with a modifier key pressed like ctrl or shift, but not sure on this one)
