Bug Description
Using the Netbook Remix daily DVD (20090704), when the kernel starts, it makes the wrong size of tty console on this netbook (Dell Mini 10v). The screen is 1024 x 576 pixels. The kernel dmesg says:
Console: colour VGA+ 80x25
console [tty0] enabled
At some later point it must figure out that the screen is larger than that. It creates a 37 x 100 console.
However, the screen can only physically display 36 lines at the font size picked by the kernel. I counted.
Once the screen has filled and starts scrolling, the line where you type is ALWAYS invisible, off the bottom of the screen.
Perhaps the kernel is shoehorning this LCD into the box it has for "1024 x 600" screens. This isn't one.

These seems to be the key lines in the dmesg:

Bug #395306 (X server won't start, complaining about modes) may be related.
