An ASK-3462 Super-Mii Bluetooth (from SolidTek) was installed.
It was perfectly working (and it was very easy to setup).
It is still working well. (I'm using it to write this)

This has been fixed with the upload of bluez 4.45 to Ubuntu 9.10. It uses a new init script that is based around pkill and udev instead.
