Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
While installing kUbuntu 9.10 amd64 daily-build from 3 and 4 July this error appeared:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/
main()
File "/usr/lib/
install(
File "/usr/lib/
ret = wizard.run()
File "/usr/lib/
self.
File "/usr/lib/
"/var/
RuntimeError: Install failed with exit code 1; see /var/log/syslog
But when I tried to upload /var/log/syslog launchpad shows a message, that empty file couldn't be uploaded.
Perhaps you could use 'ubuntu-bug ubiquity' to file the bug, if Kubuntu has that? We really need /var/log/syslog, otherwise we can't do anything at all with this bug and will have to close it, I'm afraid. Perhaps it's only readable by root?
