HP LaserJet 1320 only 600 dpi (not 1200) in PCL* modes?

Bug Description
I'm using the hplip packages from Packman on openSUSE 11.1. Unfortunately, hp-check does not complete.
I have a LaserJet 1320 printer that works with 1200 dpi in PostScript mode - but PS is extremely slow for graphics-intensive printing, so I tried to use a PCL driver instead. The corresponding PPD file begins like shown below.
PROBLEM: The PCL drivers (PCL3, PCLXL) do not allow for 600x1200 dpi (FastRes) or 1200x1200 dpi (ProRes) configuration, and "Best" and "Normal" quality appear identical. This was already true for hpijs and the PXLMono drivers, and now continues through hpcups (see below).
Could the LJ1320-related PPD files for PCL and PCLXL please be updated to allow for 600x1200, and 1200x1200 dpi²? Thanks a lot.

I confirm this bug on Ubuntu 9.10 (x86) and HPLIP 3.9.8 with a LaserJet P1005. Attached a hp-check log.
