Bug Description

Binary package hint: amarok

Amarok2 freezes the whole system after running (even ctrl+alt+backspace doesn't work) Sometimes it crashes Compiz, sometimes the whole system and sometimes it works with no problem. I think it has a mind of his own :P The system is Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope

I have also attached the console output of Amarok2

Thanks for the bug report!

There is an updated version of Amarok available in the kubuntu-backports repository [1] that might fix this issue. Please update and report back with what version of Amarok you're running (''apt-cache policy amarok'') and whether you're still getting amarok hangs.

Amarok 2.1.1 is available in the jaunty-backports, do not use the PPA, please.

Just activate the backports repository in your package manager and choose amarok for update. You can also just update, but this will install all the newer versions of software in that repository which you do not necessarily want.
