Bug Description

In 0.8.2, opening about box (Super+Space, summon Do menu - by default by clicking arrow in top right corner; click "About") locks Do - this box cannot be closed by clicking "Close" nor "x" button. Alt+F4 doesn't work. Do is locked and cannot be used until killed (only killing the process seemed to work so far).

Please post on bug 361679 which supposedly fixed this problem.

Which interface are you using here? Do you have a composite manager
running? (Desktop effects in GNOME or KDE, or metacity's compositor,
etc)

Changed in do:
importance: Undecided → Medium
status: New → Incomplete

Excuse me. I'm using Ubuntu 9.04, GNOME, no compositing.

You can close the about box if while it is open you then choose settings. Once the settings box has opened you can then click on the about X, close or url.

actually, this is a duplicate of 361679 where a fix was already released but it's still not working hence all the duplicate bugs.

The correct way to handle that is to not submit a new/duplicate bug, but to reopen the original.

There is no "reopen" status - please clarify. I changed it to Status "in progress" in hopes that is what you really meant. Had I found the other bugs in my searching while submitting the bug I would obviously not have opened this one.
