Bug Description
There's a messup with VLC in the jaunty repos.
- I changed the VLC interface to Qt
- VLC wouldn't start anymore (segfault)
- I removed VLC and all dependencies and reinstalled
- the problem persists
Obviously, changing the option shouldn't render VLC unusable in the first place, but that's not a big deal. After a complete removal and reinstall however, VLC should work again. Synaptic either fails to remove all the config files, or the install is broken.
The error message:
WARNING: QApplication was not created in the main() thread.
UPDATE: It's the config files in ~/.config/vlc. If i remember correctly, Synaptic isn't supposed to delete config files in the home directory, so there's not much that can be done about this.
