Bug Description
To reproduce:
Insert an audio CD and wait for Sound Juicer to appear. It displays the audio tracks with a column of checkboxes, all ticked. Now click on the Play button at the bottom.
Expected behaviour:
Music CD begins playing.
Observed:
Nothing happens - no change in UI, and no music played.
Other obvious methods also fail to play the CD:
Click on a track to highlight it, then click Play - nothing happens.
Double-click on a track (near the Title or Artist) - this offers to rename the Title or the Artist.
Go to "Disc" menu and select "Play/Pause" - also fails, with or without a track highlighted.
The only action I can find that will successfully play the CD is:
Double-click on a track, somewhere near the checkbox, the track number, or the track duration.
I suspect this behaviour is not by design. If it were, I think sound-juicer would be a very non-intuitive application to have as the default CD player.
I'm using Ubuntu Dapper, x86_64, up to date via online repositories. The sound-juicer version is 2.14.2-0ubuntu1
Please let me know if you need more info.
