Color Effects Output Incorrect

Bug Description

Binary package hint: digikam

Using Color Effects ... The preview in 'Color Effects>Find Edges' is totally different to the data output. There is a significant color shift and in this option (in some cases only) there is also a pronounced, unpleasant, griding effect that is added.
This color shift appears to also effect other Color Effect options.
Currently using Ver 0.11.0 but problem seen on earlier versions.

Is this still the problem with digikam 1.0.0 RC from karmic-backports?
In general, it would be better to report this problem upstream to http://bugs.kde.org as it is most likely issue with digikam and not with ubuntu package.
