Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

Empathy chat windows ignore screen/system DPI setting, giving inconsistent font sizes. To illustrate the problem I set my DPI to 50 for the attached screenshot, while using a custom theme which I coded myself, which uses a 10pt font. Since the font size is specified in points not pixels, it should change with the DPI.

In this screenshot I use my normal 96 DPI. As you can see the chat window has not changed at all.

This is the line of HTML used to format the messages from the theme:

<p style="font-size:10pt; margin:0.5em 0 0.5em 0;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">(%time{%H:%m:%S}%) %sender%:</span> %message%</p>

Sorry, I am using the PPA already. The problem seems to be common to all apps which use webkit for html rendering.
