Bug Description

Upgraded from medibuntu8 to:
ii googleearth 5.0.11337.1968-0medibuntu10
ii googleearth-data 5.0.11337.1968-0medibuntu10

After update-manager finished working, the icon for my firefox launcher on gnome-panel switched to the "missing icon" icon. Once I edited the launcher, the icon switched to the default launcher icon. The firefox icon in the menu stayed for a while, but has also now changed to the default application icon.

No other icons were messed with. I am using the black-white 2 Glossy icon theme, installed at ~/.icons/<theme>

I removed my icon cache, re-made it with gtk-update-icon-cache, and it did not fix the problem.

In fact, I cannot load any icons anymore. When I go to properties to change the icon manually, NOTHING shows up in the preview window for ANY icon directory - even default gnome/Ubuntu icon directories.

In effect, all icons are now broken.

Hi,

This doesn't seem to be related to googleearth. Did you upgrade any other package at the same time?
Thanks.

Nope, just googleearth. However, afterwards, I did figure out that I was
having HDD issues and found several corrupted files on my system leading
to various issues. I have since re-installed Ubuntu and will not use
googleearth until redirecting of direct rendering is available for the
radeon module. So, this can be closed.
