Amarok does not transfer album art to iPod

I've installed Amarok and KDE 4.2.9 from the backports ppa, that's the only way I could get it to work at all with my iPod. However it still doesn't transfer album art. Amarok 1.4 used to do this fine. The iPod is an iPod nano.
