I'm not sure about GameTrailers as it depends on quality of the screenshots / video stills.

Grooveshark could use the album covers.

YouTube doesn't do that, either, but see note for GameTrailers on quality.

And Flickr, too - I'm not sure if it should, though.

It is a plugin by plugin basis... this is due to artwork limitations. Anything below 500px square tends to look a bit nasty. It is kind of embarrassing to say that the Jamendo plugin looks more beautiful than our own Music section! (Amazons artwork is poor). In the case of the Movie Trailers plugin we could use the Poster artwork as the background... we could even go off to TheMovieDB.org and get the Fan Art as well to make the experience 'nicer'. (we also miss movie synopsis and maybe even... additional trailers).

Gamtetrailers.... thumbnails are too small

Grooveshark... possibly, also we desperately need to cover some spotty artwork by using Amazon/Google or other sources for cover artwork and artist pictures when it is missing (Groovesharks API isn't too good in that regard for images). Grooveshark looks poor in comparison to Jamendo.

YouTube... thumbnails too small (but worth rechecking, they have released their own 'YouTube XL' desktop application so maybe they have larger thumbnails somewhere?

Flickr... should use backgrounds from the photos

DeviantArt... little spotty but overall ok, and can/should use images for background

Yup I already filed #368825 about themoviedb.

I woder if we could use apple_trailers the other way around - to provide trailers for movies in Movie Library. Could be nice :)

Yeah we talked about 'Movie Trailers In Reverse'... Apple have a backlog of trailers since the year 2000 so, new movies we could well get a trailer. There are other trailer sites as well that can be leveraged.

The latest free moovida 1.09 does not get any maintenance since a while. Now moovidadb.com is supporting Linux and support can be found at : http://www.fluendo.com/faq/
