Bug Description
I tried to install fglrx using jockey on karmic. it installed and set up 'Driver "fglrx"' in the xorg.conf. after rebooting Xorg.0.log showed that i was using fglrx. however the performance was very bad so i wanted to remove it.
in jockey i clicked deactivate, let it do its stuff, and then rebooted.
however it does not seem to have done anything. everything is still installed
sam@oberon:~$ dpkg -l | grep fglrx

ii fglrx-kernel-source 2:8.620-0ubuntu1 Kernel module source for the ATI graphics ac
ii fglrx-modaliases 2:8.620-0ubuntu1 Identifiers supported by the ATI graphics dr
ii xorg-driver-fglrx 2:8.620-0ubuntu1 Video driver for the ATI graphics accelerato
and the xorg.conf still points to fglrx.
but jockey claims that the driver is not activated.

I've posted a new version of the -fglrx driver to our xorg-edgers PPA,
would you mind testing it either on Jaunty or Karmic and see if it
resolves this bug?
