OpenJDK JVM crashes when Eclipse imports a project

Bug Description

When importing an existing project with Eclipse 3.4, IcedTea6 1.3.1 (6b12-0ubuntu6.4) Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_0-b12) the following JVM crash occurred:

My ubuntu version is
Description: Ubuntu 8.10
Release: 8.10

It is not reproducible.

there are updated openjdk-6 packages available at
https://edge.launchpad.net/~openjdk/+archive/ppa?field.series_filter=hardy

looks like bug #192292 in icedtea

not seen with 6b14 and 6b16 versions so far.

8.10 is not supported anymore. closing the report. please reopen if this is reproducible with newer Ubuntu versions.
