Bug Description

I've been using xubuntu on an old machine since the 7.04 release with no problems (latest installation was the 8.10 release). I upgraded to jaunty last night and i realized that I can not login anymore to the desktop, i can only get to the shell but no graphics at all. I tried to reconfigure the xserver but to my surprise it seems that there's no options to choose the graphics adapter anymore from a list, so in order to diagnose the problem i booted the live cd on safe graphics mode. That does work since i'm on it now but i got the notification for the xorg crash.

PS
The machine is a 9 year old PIII 600 and the graphics adapter is an ancient "exotic" voodoo 3500tv
