Bug Description

Binary package hint: f-spot

When I plug-in my olympus c-740 digital camera f-spot open a pop-up through which I can select the device to open. These chooses include:

- mass storage camera - disk:/media/disk
- olympus c-2040z - usb
- olympus c-2040z - usb:003,003

The question is that f-spot recognise my camera as c-2040z and not as c-740.

Tested with Hardy and f-spot 0.4.3.1

Thansk for the report Marco, could you try the same on Jaunty? does lshal shows you the same? it could be hal issue rather than a f-spot one.

Pedro, I haven't yet tested this issue on Jaunty but, on Hardy, if I do an lshal I can see:

That is no c-2040z string in the usb_device.product nor c-740.

Pedro, I made a test with Jaunty but the issue is the same also in that distro. In fact my camera was recognised as c-2040z.
