Shutdown will yield console for a few seconds before usplash

Bug Description

When shutting down the computer, the power down procedure will show the console with info/warnings/failures/statuses for a few seconds when switching from X to usplash, instead of a smooth transition as when booting up.

This is not really a problem, but it does not look well integrated nor pretty, and may probably give a less technical users a moment of panic if they can't interpret the messages, thus giving the impression that every other os which hides such irrelevant techincal details (windows, osx) are more userfriendly.

Thank you for your bug report. This is not a papercut...

This is a known problem... I'd suggest you lookup the package causing the issue and assign this bug to the rogue package...

Ahh ok. If its a known problem just ignore the report. Although perhaps it deserves renewed focus, because it really is an annoyance, even though its may not qualify as a paper cut.
