Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
Updated to latest xorg intel video driver, tried to enable compiz. I noted the appearance window appeared to get a drop shadow, as if it _had_ enabled compiz. Then got the message that it could not enable it, and the appearance window seemed to hang up. I switched to a tty to have a look around, and shortly after X restarted.
