Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.28-13-generic

I first asked the install tool to do a 3 way merge of my menu.lst. I think that is what it made it crash.

Then I asked the tool to install the packager version, but it didn't work.

My menu.lst is simple. (here attached)

Would'nt it be more simple to add the new kernel's entry and let the user decide whether he wants to run the new kernel or the old one, rather than trying to update everything ?
This way, the user would have the ability to roll back to the old kernel if there is an issue,or change its default kernel if there is none.
