Bug Description

Dapper 6.04 installed okay, but 6.06 hangs before it can show the boot menu.

CD boots okay, shows some text for less than second, then I see Ubuntu logo in the screen where it should show the installation menu, but nothing happens.

CD burning was successfull, and the MD5 matches. Updating with apt-get over flight4 works fine though.

Hardware is Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo M1437G laptop (testing report here https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/FujitsuAmiloM1437G)

This is know problem with ATI x700/x800 with Flight 5 & 6.
It was fixed recently (see bug 34592), therefore if you take daily CD you will get the menu. There is however bug 31974 that may hit you, but can be workaround by exiting the menu and boot from text.
