Bug Description

In my system there's only one sound device, which is my USB headphone. If totem is playing some music and I unplug the phone, totem apparently continues "playing" the music to nowhere, as if nothing had happened. Plugging the phone again does nothing either and totem plays no sound until I exit the application and start it again.

Steps to reproduce.
- Play some music
- Unplug the headphone
- Totem does nothing
- Plug again
- Totem does nothing

What should have happened ?
- An error message should have appeared, or the music should stop our pause
- When the phone is plugged again, clicking on the play button should work

This is a papercut.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of totem is available in both Lucid and Maverick and we are wondering if this is still reproducible in any of those versions, May you please test and give us of feedback about it? Thanks in advance.
