Bug Description

Not bug, but an annoyance:

If we have unsaved doc in gedit, and I click on shutdown, the whole process is delayed till I answer the messagebox. 2 problems:

1. the message box does not go to foreground, so you don't notice that shutdown is not going to happen
2. maybe shutdown should kill app. after a while and continue shutting down.

Without these I sometimes leave my PC turned on for a whole weekend after I leave work on Friday afternoon.

Thx, Dolfy

This is by design, currently.

Such functionality would be best implemented upstream.
