Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.28-13-generic

After a recent system upgrade which involved kernel update i've noticed that my laptop seems to freeze more often than usual, that is apart from the fact that 9.04 is by far less stable compared with the previous 8.10. Now, i have to power off every couple of hours becuase of this bug. After rebooting, I get kernel panics similar to what is listed below:

I have updated my system with the latest updates, as of 21/06/09 and I've not seen these issues before. The system was still freezing every couple of days due to the madness in the Suspend/Resume and occasional issues with the 802.11n wireless network, which apparently have not yet been polished. But not on this scale. In fact, I've had to restart while writing this bug report.

Has anyone experiencing similar issues?

I am running Ubuntu 9.04 amd64 on thinkpad T61p:

Hi Mozg,

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

I have the same issue with ubuntu lucid beta and hardy after recent updates. Usually system fails on using Virtualbox, qemu or anything resource heavy. Attached log from up-to-date lucid.
